Department of Emergency Services
Mission Statement
The Department of Emergency Services will provide high quality
Emergency Communications, All Hazards Planning, Risk Management
and Emergency Medical services to the residents of Caroline
County, to their governmental departments, agencies and their
visitors. We will be professional and supportive to the
organizations of whom we interact, being proactive in the
protection of lives and property.
We recognize our most important resource is a highly qualified
and trained staff. We will do our best to create a positive
work environment in which personal growth can be achieved.
Department Overview
The Caroline County Department of Emergency Services has
diversified responsibilities. The department provides emergency
planning and coordination for county government; Emergency
Communications including 911, police communications for the
Sheriff's Department and 4 town police departments; fire and
rescue communications for 9 Fire/EMS Departments. The
Department also provides Advanced Emergency Medical Services to
the citizens and visitors of the community.
